Jennifer Lopez has been making a comeback to romantic comedies lately, and one to definitely add to your watch list is the newly released one Shotgun Wedding on Prime Video!
The film takes place at the Mahal Island Resort in the Philippines where Darcy and Tom are getting married at their destination wedding. But the ceremony is halted with the arrival of modern-day pirates taking everyone hostage. Right before the wedding, the couple argued away from their families, and so they were taken by different members of the attackers and managed to escape.
As they go on this crazy adventure, Darcy and Tom learn to reconnect, work on issues they hadn’t voiced to each other before, and learn just how much they really do love each other. All the while, they’re on a mission to save their loved ones who are held captive. You know, a typical day’s work!
Even though the film is light-hearted and not meant to be too serious, it does have a mature rating. Why is that the case? We’ve got the answer for you below!
