Prince Harry Confirms New Tell-All Interview, Kate Middleton Twins with Princess Charlotte & More

Here’s all the royal news you need to know for the week of December 22, 2022.

  • Netflix unveiled the official trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s next series, Live to Lead. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will serve as executive producers on the upcoming project.

  • Prince Harry will be doing another tell-all interview to promote his upcoming memoir, Spare. But instead of Oprah Winfrey, he’ll sit down with CNN reporter Anderson Cooper.

  • The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a glimpse of their Christmas card with the mailing list of the official Archewell Foundation. The card featured a black-and-white photograph of the couple attending the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award Gala.

  • In volume 2 of Netflix’s Harry & MeghanPrince Harry and Markle explained how the palace was threatened by the couple’s increasing popularity because they were stealing attention and headlines away from other people who needed publicity.

  • The Bank of England released the official designs for the new UK banknotes featuring King Charles III. Per a press release, the notes are expected to be in full circulation across the country by mid-2024.

  • There’s a reason why King Charles is facing to the left (not the right) on the new royal coins. It all has to do with a royal currency tradition that dates back to King Charles II (not to be confused with the current king), which states that new monarchs should face in the opposite direction of their predecessors.

  • King Charles was stopped by JW3 London for a Chanukah reception for Holocaust survivors. According to an Instagram caption, the “community center acts as a hub for the arts, culture, social action and learning in North London.”

  • The monarch and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, visited London’s Community Kitchen to learn more about the volunteer work.

  • Prince William sent an encouraging message to the Argentinian soccer team after they won the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He even signed the note with his personal signature: “W.”

  • The Royal Collection Trust shared a photo on Instagram of an old royal family Christmas card from 1939. In the vintage, black-and-white image, a 13-year-old Queen Elizabeth is seen posing with her younger sister, Princess Margaret.

  • King Charles and Princess Anne hosted Investiture Ceremonies at Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace, where they honored more recipients.
