A luminous welcome sign in Genoa's Old Town
Welcome | Genoa | 2023

We return home. The nice thing is, if you call two places home, you’ll be coming home a lot. The Significant Other and I spent the week after Easter in our “Southern” home in Genoa. And we can enjoy it to the fullest, because we quit our bill-paying jobs. So let’s grab the camera and head to the Streets of Genoa for a short stroll through the alleyways of the medieval old town. “Benvegnûi” means “welcome” in Genoese dialect…for some quick shots, continue after the jump….

Biden Admin Says New K-12 Agenda Tackles Absenteeism, Tutoring, Prolonged Studying

Many found new ways of delivering educational content material and discovering solutions to conduct absolutely on-line or blended approaches to learning, usually in low-resource settings where access to the web is extremely limited. …

The Italian queen has spoken. But do we like what we’re hearing? Andy Cohen’s new book, Daddy Diaries is out and we’ve been giving you the scoop little by little. Needless to say, his business is a housewives’ business and of course, he’s discussing the conversations he’s had with the ladies one-on-one. That would include Teresa Giudice of Real Housewives of New Jersey.

We know the Judge/Gorga backstory. And we know Season 13 is playing

Selected Intimate Landscapes from the Newcastle Area Trail – 360Cities Blog

Photography and text by Bill Edwards

Intimate View

My longer photo trips into Washington’s expansive Cascades mountains provide ample opportunities to capture rugged mountain landscapes with dramatic vistas, while the local forest trails are all about the small views. I affectionately call them “Intimate Views”.

Between the rains, I hike a lonely trail through the glistening shelter of wet forest. I experienced “Shinrin-yoku” and right-brain drift, my journey into mystical, restorative spiritual experiences. I observe the changing textures of the seasons and sadly recall the striking colors of fallen leaves on a magical November day not long ago. My mind

But that doesn’t dampen enthusiasm for the niche.

Now, another big player is about to join the foldable phone game.

And that is none other than search engine giant Google.

The aptly named Google Pixel Fold will be showcased at the company’s event on May 10, Google I/O 2023.

The smartphone will reportedly measure 5.8 inches when unfolded and 7.6 inches when tablet and will

Gallery: Haunting photos from Ukraine that won a Pulitzer Prize

The Associated Press was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography on Monday in recognition of 15 filtering images that rendered in real-time the devastating human toll of the war in Ukraine. It was one of two prizes won by AP — the other was for public service journalism about the siege of Mariupol, Ukraine.

The winning package of breaking news photography included an image of an emergency worker carrying a pregnant woman – who later died – through the shattered grounds of a maternity hospital in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol in the chaotic aftermath of a Russian
