I’ve said it many times before, but one of my favorite aspects of being a brand photographer is that I get the opportunity to work with my clients time and time again! I first shot for Katrina, owner and founder of Lindale Studios, in June 2021, and it was SO exciting to travel back to Spain to shoot #2 earlier this year!
For its first session, we focused on photos that tell the big picture, the “full body” story of the brand. For this shoot, we’ve come back to cater for some of her more specific needs, such as capturing her process for the framed fine art pieces she introduced this year, and showing some of the more specific uses of the hand-painted styling mats she now offers through her partnerships. with the Kiss Book. We also wanted to illustrate his ability to create series pieces for events such as weddings and editorial shoots, with multiple product sizes in a coordinated color palette.
Katrina products are the best on the market. The hand-painted backgrounds are stunning, both in real life and on camera, and their ability to draw inspiration from details in their environment that often go unnoticed in inspiring viewing. Her notebook in which she gathers inspiration before starting a new backdrop is, itself, a work of art!
But more than just being in awe of her work, it’s also amazing to see how intentional she is about brand development as deliberate. Everything he does for Lindale has meaning and direction– he’s growing his artistic business like a CEO, not just an artist getting paid for his work. And THAT is one of the main reasons I love knowing him.
Katrina, you are lovely. It’s an absolute privilege to shoot for you, and watch your business grow and thrive before our very eyes! I am so proud of you and all that you have accomplished, and I can’t wait to see what will happen to Lindale in the coming months.
