Stay-at-home mom-turned-portrait photographer to open new studio in the heart of Lebanon

When Liz Arndt, a stay-at-home mother of two, first picked up photography last year, she had no idea the art would lead to her opening her very own studio.

“I’ve always been a creative type of person, whether its sewing, crafting or painting,” Arndt said. “I was trying to explore some different outlets and things, and I wanted to use my time creatively and hopefully, you know, also generate some extra income for my family.”

With two weeks of vacation behind us, The Significant Other and I are back to jobs that pay the bills today. But we are still driven by the memories we made visiting friends in the Austrian and Swiss Alps and, among other things, spending the first days in our new “second home” in Genoa. As a living room decoration, we decided to put up a large photo of Genoa’s historic lighthouse – La Lanterna – printed on 47×32 inch (120×80 cm) canvas.
