As I mentioned in my most recent post about my photography journey last year, I didn’t include my favorite photos of 2022 in that gallery. But here they are. My favorite picture of last year. The one I see the most. The one I show the most. What means the most to me. I titled it “Room with a View”. The thing that makes it stand out to me? This is the view from our living room balcony.
Last year, The Significant Other and I fulfilled a dream of many years. Since living in Genoa from 2001 to 2005, we’ve fantasized about one day getting a small place there. After all, it’s only a seven-hour drive from Nuremberg. Three years ago we decided to try to make that dream come true and actively started looking for a small apartment. The main premise is that it needs to have views of the harbour, city and sea. It took us two and a half years to find the right place, and we closed the deal in May. The renovations needed are taking until December. That’s a great project. Last night was the first time we slept in our little Happy Place. We make that dream come true. Now we have a room with a view. These are my favorite photos of 2022.
Have a good start in 2023, and keep chasing your own dreams. One day they could come true!
