Daily Shots – Not as High as I Expected

Now here, slightly above Chefchaouen, is where the military police stopped us with our quadcopters! I came to town with Anton and Ana from SmugMug to work on a promo. We have been using Anton’s quadcopter all over Morocco but when we got here the taxi driver told the local military police that we had some kind of “plane”! This caused a lot of worry and dread (and, I should add, a lot of confusion). After we had been there for half an hour the military police came down to our hotel with a slightly sour attitude. I never managed to negotiate with the Moroccan military, and I didn’t succeed here either. I put up a good intellectual fight, but I finally agreed, mainly because of the size of their guns. Yes, no gunfights… but I did see a lot of guns… which always help one side win an argument. So even though I wanted to get a proper shot from the air, it didn’t happen!
