Going through some street photos from earlier this year, I saw an image I took with a Leica SL2-S and a Vario-Elmarit-SL 1:2.8/24-70 ASPH just before the camera experienced a terminal shutter failure on the second day of shooting. my Israel trip. What’s still evident here is the incredible dynamic range of the Leica full frame sensor. I love the soft tone on the little girl’s face, the triangular point of light on her cheek. Given the fact that there’s the brightest sunlight in the background behind her face, it’s amazing the sensor still captures the fine details of that lovely little smile.
Exif data shows 1/160 sec | f/4 | ISO 100 | 70mm. Black & White jpg off camera.
