Spending the long Halloween weekend in our second hometown of Genoa in Italy, The Significant Other and I celebrated Halloween night in style, participating in a Halloween Ghost Tour through the medieval city center. Also participating were my Leica SL2-S and an M-Mount “Nifty Fifty” TTArtisan 50mm .95 prime lens.
The tour begins at 7:30 pm on the steps of the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa’s Centro Storico, one of the oldest and most populous medieval city centers in Europe. The Halloween Ghost Tour consists of 12 animated stages, followed by 14 free guided tours that start simultaneously from various parts of the Old Town. The route is the same for everyone and the event lasts about 2 hours.
Individual events include small plays, dance performances, fire theater and small ghost story presentations. The whole event takes place in front of a historical backdrop in a medieval old town.
We really benefited from the lovely warm weather this late October evening on the Ligurian coast.
It was truly a dazzling night in the small alleys and courtyards of the medieval old town. We enjoyed the vibe of the mostly dressed crowd and the amazing performances of the artists.
Once again I am very pleased with the low light performance of the Leica SL2-S and the “China-Noctilux”, TT Artisan f/0.95 50mm. I hope the photos in this post give you an impression of this awesome Halloween Ghost Tour through the historic center of Genoa.
