If you have visited this site in the last month or so, you will notice a lack of updates and no featured image at the top of posts.
Sorry! The site was hit by the dreaded “Japanese Keyword Virus,” one of the most difficult computer viruses to eradicate, even considering the many helpful “10 step” processes that have been posted by security bloggers.
The Japanese Keyword Virus turns your keywords on Google into links to Japanese sites selling clothes and accessories. It’s a kind of SEO spam that hijacks legitimate sites (like this one!) and damages your reputation on Google.
Move
My son transferred and rebuilt most of the site to the new server, and I added the missing images. Everything seems to be working now, but there’s also the more serious impact of the Covid-19 virus keeping me from getting fresh photos on crowded city streets.
I could post a few more articles, but chances are they’ll be intermittent instead of a regular weekly. I want to keep everyone entertained (like the guy below) but eventually I’ll run out of decent pictures.
At that point I’ll just provide an index to existing articles (currently buried deep in the blog) and then update them only when I have something new.
Because of this, it’s best to sign up for the newsletter if you haven’t already.
Hope you all are virus free!
