Covid Safe Winery Shoot at Dusky Goose
Despite the various challenges Oregonians are facing today, good communication with customers is still necessary. Dusky Goose, a boutique winery in Dundee Hills is underway with a website update as the pandemic begins. We worked with Dusky Goose Operations Manager Pamela McClellan and consultant Chris Cullina to complete a series of photos for their new website that create a strong sense of place.
To keep this shoot safe from Covid-19, we’ve divided this project into two parts. For the first part, John and I worked together to compose and photograph a beautifully styled set of bottle shots in and around the tasting room. With different buffer settings, we create a set of photos that are unique to each wine.
For the second part, Pamela and the tasting room manager, Kelly Karr, invited members of the wine club for a private tasting. All Covid-19 protocols such as group distance of 6 feet, masks for servers, and a collection of cleaning fluids are still maintained. Each of our tasting groups is in their own “bubble” so we can photograph their close interactions safely and remotely.
To complete the project, John and I took a drone up at sunset to photograph what a beautiful tasting room looks like amidst the vineyards.
