Circus West Village, Battersea Power Station, London becomes a major residential development | London Commercial Photographer
Built in the early 1930s, the Battersea Power Plant, with its distinctive four chimneys, was created to meet the energy needs of Sir Giles Gilbert Scott featured in architectural photography. Built by the London Power Company to create the first of these new generation ‘superstations’, it began generating power for the capital in 1933.
The transformation of the Battersea Power Station – captured by this london architectural photographer, a familiar and much-loved silhouette against the London skyline – is coming, as the regeneration and revitalization of this forgotten corner of central London, often captured in commercial photography. History will be made once again with this prime residential development.
